Paragraph Organization Errors in the Writing of Pakistani College-Going Students: An Error Analysis Study

Writing something worthy of reading in a foreign language is challenging task. Students learning English as or second suffer most writing especially paragraph writing. Although studies have been conducted to explore errors composition Pakistani students, organization received little attention. Therefore, this study investigated the unity, development, and coherence paragraphs written by college students. Besides, also explored factors that cause paragraphs. In regard, samples purposively selected 20 participants were analyzed using error analysis classification Liu Wang (2011). Thereafter, five interviewed individually through semi-structured interviews The findings revealed students made followed then coherence. thematic cramming culture, excessive attention given grammar lack quality feedback key had affected skills these discusses implications for teachers.
